The Economic Benefits of Regionalisation
A report recently prepared by SC Lennon & Associates, presents the
findings of a study commissioned by RDA Far North to consider and
assess the potential economic impacts of regionalisation of government
services to the Far North Region of South Australia. The analysis is
informed by an overview of current thinking / arguments for regionalisation
in Australia, some assumptions about what quantum of government
departments might potentially re-locate to the Far North from Adelaide and

Isaac Region Business Connection Scoping Study
A report prepared by SC Lennon & Associates, presents the findings of a
study commissioned by Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3) to explore the
concept of a regional business association, one which would represent and
support all businesses in all industries across the Isaac region. Informed by
research, consultation with the Isaac region’s businesses and lessons from
case studies of regional business associations operating elsewhere in
Australia, the Isaac Region Business Connection Scoping Study report
recommends the establishment of a new regional, independent, apolitical
representative business body to advocate on behalf of all businesses

South Australian Government Commits to Sealing First Section of Outback Strzelecki Track
The Strzelecki Track in outback South Australia is set to be partly sealed as a first step to creating an almost continuous stretch of tarmac between Queensland and Western Australia. Analysis undertaken by SC Lennon & Associates showed sealing the 472-km unsealed road has the potential to generate economic benefits in the order of between $2.3 billion and $3.1 billion.
